A unique championship course returns
Zeddam, located in the municipality of Montferland, will be the setting for the European Cyclocross Championships on November 7 and 8, 2026. Zeddam was already the setting for the 2006 Cyclocross World Championships with Erwin Vervecken (BE) and Marianne Vos (NL) as winners. This year the European Championship returns to this historic location. Erwin Vervecken is involved as a course builder.
The route will be announced in the run-up to the event.
A familiar battleground
Perhaps the route rings a bell, more than three years back in time. In January 2022, the Belgian Cyclocross Championships took place here, when Wout van Aert and Sanne Cant were crowned national champions, albeit in an edition without spectators due to the corona measures. Three years later, the fans finally return to experience the battle for the European jersey up close in this iconic setting.
